IDEAL Institute of Technology Education Academic Excellence Scholarship Program

The Ideal Institute of Technology Academic Excellence Scholarship Program is designed to reward students that achieve with exemplary academic standards at the Ideal Institute of Technology. Ideal proudly collaborates with various grant associations and employers to provide students with both quality education and hands-on experience in their chosen field. These partnerships ensure that eligible candidates receive the support they need to succeed academically.

Please use the checklist below to determine if you meet the minimum requirements to apply:

  • Minimum G.P.A. of 3.7 or greater.
  • Students' attendance is 90%.
  • The student is current on all institutional payments.
  • The student earned at least one industry-recognized credential within the first two quarters of enrollment.

If you answered NO to any of the above questions, please DO NOT proceed. Unfortunately, you do not currently qualify for this program. Students may reapply once two quarters or 450 hours.

If you answered YES to all the above questions, please proceed. You currently qualify for this program.

  1. Candidates may also qualify for free transportation via bus tickets, as well as various other incentives.
  2. Faxed, emailed, or incomplete application packages will not be accepted.
  3. Candidates must attend one week of orientation in order to qualify.

Applications are reviewed and recipients are selected by the Ideal Institute of Technology's Scholarship and Grant Committee. Recipients will be notified of the awards within 30 days from the date of the deadline for the submission.

Any documentation submitted will not be returned to the applicant. Irrespective of the outcome of the application review, and information contained in the application must remain confidential.

Only student applicants who are awarded the Ideal Institute of Technology's Need Based Scholarships and Grants will be notified. Those who are not selected will not receive a notification.

Eligibility and Qualifications

To apply, an applicant must:

  • Be a legal resident of the United States. (Both New Jersey and out-of-state students are eligible.)
  • Have an active public assistance case open.
  • Satisfy all admission requirements as determined by the Ideal Institute of Technology and be enrolled in a post-secondary eligible program.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to obtaining a degree or credentials by completing and submitting the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.gov.
    Use Federal School Code 043002 during the application process.
    All institutional forms and documentation must be completed with the Financial Aid Office.
  • Demonstrate significant unmet financial need for education.
  • Show the ability to overcome challenges and obstacles while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Not be in default on any student loans, behind on an institutional payment plan, or owe a refund on any state or federal grant.
  • Be a dedicated worker or a dependent of a dedicated worker.

Continued Eligibility Requirements

Every 450 clock hours (or two quarters), the applicant must:

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0 or greater.
  • Maintain a minimum attendance rate of 90%.
  • Stay current on institutional payment plans.

  • The Board of Directors reserves the right to make financial decisions regarding all aspects of scholarships offered at the Ideal Institute of Technology.
  • The Academic Scholarships and Grants are provided annually based on available funding. There is no guarantee of award based on specific financial criteria. Only qualified applicants will be notified.
  • The Ideal Institute of Technology Education Scholarship and Grant Committee reviews all applications and selects recipients. Awards and related rules are at the Board of Directors, including the number of recipients and financial amounts.
  • All awarded scholarships will be disbursed directly to the student's account and applied toward institutional fees for the academic year.
