Description

The Film and Media Studies at Ideal Institute of Technology is a 900-clock-hour comprehensive training program designed for individuals passionate about visual storytelling, filmmaking, and media production. This program blends creative vision with technical skills, providing students with hands-on training in cinematography, audio-visual storytelling, editing, color grading, and production management. Students will develop a professional portfolio and complete a capstone project that reflects real-world production experience. Program Outline

This program consists of five intensive 225-clock-hour courses that cover the full spectrum of digital film production:

  • FM100: Foundations of Digital Filmmaking
    Learn the core principles of filmmaking including scriptwriting, shot composition, pre-production planning, and storytelling fundamentals.
  • FM110: Cinematography & Audio-Visual Storytelling
    Develop skills in camera operation, lighting techniques, and sound design. Learn how to use visual and auditory elements to craft compelling stories.
  • FM120: Post-Production — Editing & Color Grading
    Master industry-standard software to edit footage, mix audio, and enhance visuals through professional color correction and grading workflows.
  • FM150: Producing, Directing & Production Management
    Explore leadership roles in film production, including scheduling, budgeting, directing talent, and managing production crews.
  • FM160: Final Project & Industry Portfolio Lab
    Apply all acquired skills to produce a complete film project and create a portfolio that showcases your readiness for jobs or freelance opportunities in the film industry.

Certificates

Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive:
